The Evolution of the "New World Order" - Daily Beast

The suspected LAX gunman reportedly referenced the ‘NWO’ during an attack that left one TSA agent dead—and the phrase has been floating on the fringes of American paranoia for decades.

In the wake of alleged LAX gunman Paul Anthony Ciancia’s shooting rampage that left one TSA agent dead and two others wounded, police are analyzing a handwritten note—riddled with anti-government sentiment—that they say Ciancia was carrying at the time of the attack. Among the ramblings about law enforcement “pigs” and “fiat currency,” the letter reportedly contains a reference to the “NWO”—the New World Order, a common topic among conspiracy theorists and fringe groups. As it turns out, the idea of a New World Order has been around for decades—and has long been tinged by the specter of violence. The Daily Beast traces the evolution of the idea from the First World War to the end of the Cold War and beyond.

‘The Open Conspiracy’

It might be easy to mistake the NWO as a concept born out of Tea Party politics, since the movement occasionally throws the term around, especially when talking about the Obama administration. But Jesse Walker, author of The United States of Paranoia, says that the idea has been a constant in modern American political life and its historical roots run deep. Today, paranoiacs associate the phrase ‘New World Order’ with a shadowy one-world government—one in which sinister bankers, United Nations officials, and corrupt government leaders collude in secret to make the rest of us into Orwellian mind-slaves.

According to Walker, the League of Nations introduced the term to the political and cultural lexicon after the First World War to describe “evolving world institutions.” The New World Order was also the titular subject of writer H.G. Wells’ 1940 treatise, published one year after the outbreak of World War II, which advocated that nation states band together to prevent future outbreaks of war (“I am not going to write peace propaganda here,” Wells wrote.) The idea of a one-world government also appears, in a thinly-veiled form, in Wells’ 1933 book The Open Conspiracy: Blue Prints For a World Revolution (whose subtitle he later changed to, “What Are We To Do With Our Lives?”), which encouraged a “mental sanitation process” to erase nationalistic ideals from people’s consciousness so they can accept their new roles as “world citizen[s].”

The Birchers Vs. Soviet Communists

A new band of conspiracy theorists perpetuated NWO paranoia in the 1950s, championed by the John Birch Society, named after an American intelligence officer and Baptist missionary killed during a melee with Chinese communists. Birch, often called the “first victim of the Cold War,” became a martyr for the far right.

A new band of conspiracy theorists perpetuated NWO paranoia in the 1950s, championed by the John Birch Society.

“They were infamous for accusing prominent, powerful Americans of being tools of an international communist conspiracy,” says Walker of the Birch Society. “By the 1960s, Birch Society people and others of that orientation started picking up on [the New World Order]… It’s tied up with an anxiety not just about a loss of sovereignty but a fear of centralized power of all kinds.” (These days, the John Birch Society often comes up in articles and blog posts about the billionaire Koch brothers, whose father was a prominent member.)

‘90s Counterculture Adopts NWO Theories

As the Cold War receded into history, the New World Order was redefined again. In the 1990s, NWO conspiracy theorists believed the bipolar world—in which the superpower of the West faced off against the superpower of Communism—would be replaced with a one-world government established by the Cold War victors. It didn’t help when, in a 1990 speech, President George H.W. Bush used the term to define the new post-Cold War era.

The populist right, the militia movement, and anti-Bush leftists became obsessed by the phrase—and it entered the counterculture. “It summarizes this whole idea that not only are we losing our individual liberty to big government at home but we’re losing national sovereignty to some larger global force,” says Walker. “Conspiracy theories often take real trends and turn them into a metaphor where there’s a vast intelligence behind that trend. So someone writing critically about the NWO in a conspiratorial way and a non-conspiratorial way might be criticizing the same thing.”

In comparison to other NWO conspiracy theorists, experts say Ciancia is an outlier. Yet, as Walker notes, the leap from despising a New World Order to demonizing TSA agents is, sadly, not a huge one. “Of course, if you’re worried about moving towards a dictatorship or a police state—the creation of a new police-like agency with intrusive powers—I’m not surprised that someone who complains about NWO complains about TSA.”

Op-Ed: People against New World Order to be demonized following shooting - DigitalJournal.com

We all know the establishment loves to demonize libertarians, conservatives, radical liberals, constitutionalists, and any other group of people that threatens the status quo. But are they now gearing up to attack people who oppose the “New World Order”?

The “New World Order” is very real. With today’s access to information, it is hard for anyone to credibly deny the fact that there are very wealthy and powerful individuals working towards a one world system of government that would benefit only the ruling class. We’ve all seen George Bush, Sr.’s infamous statements about a “New World Order” and we’ve even seen analysts in mainstream news admit that we’re all slaves to the central banking system and that we are living under global governance. So it’s no question that this is a legitimate conspiracy. In fact, it would be ignorant and irresponsible to suggest that this idea of a one world government run by central bankers is some sort of “nut-job conspiracy theory.” The only question that remains is whether or not the establishment is prepared to go full force against those who are aware of the New World Order. And now that we are seeing the details of this most recent shooting coming out, we very well may have the answer.

I’ve pointed out before that various unclassified and declassified documents explicitly use the term “New World Order” and label those who oppose it as radical extremists and even terrorists. For example, I wrote an article in February over a report from the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point which labeled people who “oppose a New World Order” as potential terrorist threats. An excerpt from the report reads as follows:

“Some groups are driven by a strong conviction that the American political system and its proxies were hijacked by external forces interested in promoting a “New World Order,” (NWO) in which the United States will be embedded in the UN or another version of global government. The NWO will be advanced, they believe, via steady transition of powers from local to federal law enforcement agencies, i.e., the transition of local police and law enforcement agencies into a federally controlled “National Police” agency that will in turn merge with a “Multi-National Peace Keeping Force.” The latter deployment on US soil will be justified via a domestic campaign implemented by interested parties that will emphasize American society’s deficiencies and US government incompetency. This will convince the American people that resorting stability and order inevitably demands the use of international forces. The last state, according to most NWO narratives, involves the transformation of the United States government into an international/world government and the execution and oppression of those opposing this process.”

The Combatting Terrorism Center is not the only group who is on record demonizing the Anti-New World Order movement. Below is a list of just a few of the groups who are labeled extremists, criminals, and terrorists in a Department of Justice manual titled “Investigating Terrorism and Criminal Extremism.”

1.) People who are against the Bilderberg Group

2.) People who advocate gold and silver as currency for biblical reasons

3.) Christian patriots

4.) Citizens Militia groups

5.) The Constitution Party

6.) People who believe detention camps are being set up by the U.S. government

7.) People who advocate returning to a gold standard for constitutional reasons

8.) People who believe the government has been taken over by corporations

9.) People who believe the CFR, Trilateral Commission, and Bilderberg group are all working together to establish the “New World Order”

10.) People who keep track of public officials

11.) Gun Owners of America

12.) “Hacktivists” (i.e. Anonymous)

So we have the proof that the Anti-New World Order movement has already been demonized in the white papers. But will they now come out against the movement in mainstream news?

The recent LAX shooting has already raised several eyebrows and caused the term “false flag” to be floated around. But one of the most important things to note is the fact that, shortly after the shooting occurred, mainstream news was already reporting that he was “anti-government” and “anti-TSA.” A FOX News article from earlier today reports that a note allegedly left by the shooter mentioned “fiat currency” and the New World Order, which FOX News claims is just a “conspiracy theory.”

So as the days progress, will we see the Anti-New World Order movement attacked by mainstream rhetoric? My gut tells me yes, but only time will tell. The important thing for people to remember is the fact that libertarians, constitutionalists, conservatives, and people against the New World Order are not the only people demonized in the white papers. They’ve labeled photographers, gun owners, and even people who own coffee grinders and goggles as potential terrorists. So watch your back, Joe Six Pack. They’re coming for you too.

CONSPIRACY THEORY

Muhtasim Shams Dibbo

Imagine a completely fictitious world, where everything is made up. That world is a lot like our present world, with oblivious citizens who are controlled by secret organisations. Now let’s look into that world and see how it is doing:
A great shift in the balance of world power is coming. Groups like the Illuminati have been trying for centuries and failing over and over again, but they’re still trying. Even here at SHOUT we come up with brilliant plans to conquer the world, which are yet to be carried out; most of the plans include lots of watermelons, daal puris, and fried chicken. However, the world has a group that is much more powerful than any of the groups we have. This deadliest organisation is known as “Mutant Conquerors Foods,” but let us refer to that as MC Foods, for simplicity’s sake.
orderYou can’t walk for ten minutes in a city of that completely made up world without passing a minimum of two MC buildings, whatever they may be. They’re everywhere! There’s one right beside a mall and another one inside it. MC spreads at a ridiculously fast rate, faster than pneumonia in a Balkan slave camp. MC Foods pop up in random places overnight. Did you forget to close the bathroom door at night? Tough luck.
MC Foods had over sixty fortresses in its home country. But that wasn’t enough for it, it hungered for more power, it needed more dominance in this world. It began to spread across the border. Now there are loads of MC strongholds spanning over fifty-three countries of that world, in one of which they plan on building five hundred strongholds in the next five years. MC is working on taking over these countries entirely, and it will keep spreading, like a virus, to every part of the world starting from Africa. They will devour the entire world and we will have MC everywhere. There will be MCs in every building and every shopping mall, on planes, trains, ships and even boats and buses. There will be MCs in your closet, under your bed, and even on stage, waiting for you to buy some spicy sausages or chicken balls.
While the residents of that made up world feed on MC, it will feed on their souls. The oil will seep into their arteries and minds, effectively taking over the body and soul. But that will not be enough for MC — they will build strongholds all over unpopulated icy continents of that world. The Eskimos will fry chicken inside igloos and end up melting them. The polar ice caps would melt thanks to the extensive amounts of chicken that will be fried. They will enslave the citizens and make the population farm chickens, fry them, and eat them until chickens become extinct. After that, the human-chicken experiments begin, that’s when human beings are morphed into chickens. What will come first, the chicken or the egg? Neither; the human being will come first and the chickens will live. And what comes finally? The Human-Chicken hybrids, the original Creators of this crisis, they will prosper. The product of the bizarre World War II experiments — Mutant Conquerors.
They will repopulate the planet.
