Never in wildest dreams did I think that when I went out on Tuesday (yesterday), a tornado would be menacing closeby. I was on a ridge road (Don Buck Road) in north west Massey (where I live) about 11kms away.


The tornado devastated parts of Albany, headed through Glenfield and petered out in Waitemata Harbour. Auckland City was spared!
